Preppy Punk

I liked this outfit because it was sort of a mix of edgier (for me at least) and classic clothes. I guess this outfit basically started with the boots, a style that I usually wouldn't wear, but I was drawn to their cream color and worn look. I didn't want to go all out punk though, so I decided to wear this pleated skirt to give it a preppy feel as well. I got my shirt when I recently went to San Francisco and I fell in love with the store Madewell, which I had always wanted to go, to but isn't in Portland. Its super comfy but still a little bit glam. Last, I added the studded belt to tie in the shoes with the rest of the outfit:)

Colorblocking in the Cold

So first of all I want to apologize for not posting in like a month. Second, dues to the awful Portland weather, I have to start taking my pictures indoors instead of in my bright green backyard. Hopefully soon it will stop raining and be sunny again but for now I hope this beige wall will work well enough. Anyways, about my outfit; I wore this to a dinner out and I was playing with the colorblocking trend a little. I started off with this lavender dress which I love because of the mock sweatheart neck. The skirt is pleated tulle which is a little hard to see but look adorable up close. The I added this blue cardigan to add another color plus for a little warmth. Its a very generic blue but it looks nice with more neutral colors. Last, I wanted a color that really popped so I added the red belt and shoes. While I was a little cold without any tights, this outfit was dressier while still keeping me a little bit warm:)

Shoe of the Month: Platform Wedges

One type of heel that I have really been loving lately are wedges. I have been seeing so many sky high platforms in so many amazing shapes and colors that I had to post about them. They range from classic black to neon to glam but not only are they totally in fashion, they make even us shorter girls look like super models! Here are some of my favorite styles, even though these wont be going to school with me anytime soon:)

Happy Late Homecoming!

So its taken me forever to post my homecoming outfit (it was in October) but I decided I might as well post it now:) I started out with this pink dress that I love, but the theme was jungle so I figured I had to have a little animal print. I decided to belt the dress with this cheetah print belt and I added the shoes to complete the theme. Even though it was simple, this dress is one of my favorites!

Chloe Grace Moretz - Teen Vogue Covergirl

Chloe Grace Moretz is the December 2011Teen Vogue cover girl and I think she looks absolutely gorgeous. I love the quirky style and the fun, girly sets for the shoot. Like Elle Fanning and Hailee Steinfeld, I have always admired her style, because even though she is only 14, she still pulls off big designers and high fashion perfectly, all while still looking age appropriate. My favorite photo was the one with the big pink balloon. She looks elegant and classy but still young and fresh. What do you think?

Black and Sparkle

I only wore this outfit to school, but I decided to post about it because I've always wanted to show this shirt, but I never wore it with something I like enough. I don't like it by itself, and I thought that most sweaters were too casual. I finally decided to wear it with this blazer, because I thought that it was a nice balance with the flashier top. I wanted to keep it casual so I just wore my new black jeggings, which by the way are the most comfortable pants in the world!

Ruby Red Roses

So I finally got my red pants!!!! And I was so happy to wear them today. I wanted to stay simple so I just wore a white tee. I had to through in my animal print belt and shoes though:) This outfit is simple but still comfortable and very easy to put together.
